Our New "Life Support" Team
On Wednesday, October 3, 2007, we begin our "Life Support" initiative outside Planned Parenthood. We will maintain a peaceful, prayerful presence at the facility whenever it is open, ready to provide support for women in crisis—to offer a real choice.
We will be there to bring hope and light into the place of darkness and despair that so many women find themselves in, and to offer practical help in any way we can.
Sign Up for Life Support Hours
To submit your pledge for Life Support, write in the date(s) and time(s) you would like to come out:
We ask you to sign up to be physically present for an hour or more at the Planned Parenthood facility at 3051 E. New York St. in Aurora (map). We also encourage you to bring a friend and to encourage others to join Life Support.
- Review the calendar below. The hours and needs vary from day to day. We would like to have at least three (3) people praying at the site to call the time "Covered".
- Decide the hours you would like to come out.
Any time marked as Available, Need Two or Need One is in need of more Life Supporters. You may sign up for ANY length of time, but an HOUR is recommended (beginning on the hour) for simplicity-sake.
- Fill out the Life Support times form at the right. The captain in charge of your days(s) may be in contact with you to confirm your pledge.
Using the NEW Calendar
We have updated our calendar to be more "visual" and to allow easier updating for us, using Google Calendar. Let us know if you like it or any suggestions for improvement.

Calendar Instructions
First off, the sign-up process has NOT changed. You still sign up using the "Choose Your Hours" box above and to the right. You can sign up for an hour, two hours or whatever. You do not need to sign up for the whole time indicated as Need or Available. It's been helpful to have people start and stop their times on the hour (eg. 9am, 1pm, 6pm), but it is not required. If you can pray from 11:30am - 12:30am, please sign up for those times.

The new calendar uses both color and words to show the need for people to sign up to pray.
You can change how you view the calendar by using the
View Control.
You can change from viewing a week (the default), to a month or to an agenda (listing) view.

You can use the left / right arrows to move back or forward, or you can use the drop-down listing.
The times that we need people to sign up to pray are color coded as shown here:
Day Captain: The church(es) signed up to cover the day.
