If all you read was the Beacon News headline this morning, you may have gotten the wrong idea about what happened in the hearing in the Scheidler v. Trombley libel case yesterday. Their headline read "Libel suit against Planned Parenthood is dismissed".
What actually happened was that Judge Judith Brawka allowed Planned Parenthood's Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP) motion against us, thus dismissing the charges in our previous complaint.
However, she allowed us to file four new charges based on evidence our attorneys uncovered in the discovery process.
Yesterday, I read the following article on the National Review web site. I thought it was good, and I discovered that our very own Aurora Beacon news actually printed the story too. Thanks, Beacon News! Perhaps keeping my subscription is worthwhile?
Today's "Here for Life" Rally had a huge turnout, despite the cold, overcast weather and threats of rain. People gathered from all walks of life to support the gift of life outside the largest abortion mill in the U.S. What a dichotomy. On one hand, you have a group of people offering FREE help and a real "choice" to women in need, and on the other, you have the "quick and easy", unhappy, unhealthy non-solution for $ALE at PP. Yesterday's "Youth for Truth" Rally out at the Planned Parenthood site was a spectacular success. All 500 T-shirts were given away, and many teen will have to wait until the next Youth for Truth event to get theirs.
On Saturday, Sept. 1st, local area teens organized an incredible show of support for LIFE. The teen rally drew hundreds of teens from around the area and showed us adults that they have what it takes to take a stand for LIFE, for what is most important. I was impressed with their energy, enthusiasm and their zeal for the cause. When I saw their faces, I could tell that they were motivated by a knowledge that they too might have had a similar fate if their mothers exercised their (selfish) "right to choose". But thanks be to God, that their mothers made the loving choice, to die to their own selfs, and give birth to such a great generation of teens.
