More on the March!

Well, sorry for the delay, but after Blogs for Life, the rest of Tuesday was a whirlwind!
Earlier, Eric, Joe and Ann had breakfast with a group of pro-lifers at the White House and received an address from the President! They got to see the room where FDR delivered his "fireside chats".
That's where Eric is sitting flipping through a volume of H.L. Mencken.
The March for life was amazing. The air on the Mall was absolutely electric. Hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers gathered on the streets of the Capital with signs, all there to let the world know that they stand for life.
As we gathered to hear some inspiring speakers, including Senator Sam Brownback once again, we met other pro-lifers from across the country. People were chanting, singing, laughing, and all the while proclaiming their love for life (the year’s new hot chant seemed to be We love babies/yes we do!/We love babies/how about you?) The weather was definitely brisk, but having come from our -5 degree weather it was felt balmy. [Continue reading . . . »]

Yesterday, we marked the 35 "anniversary" of the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark decision - Roe v. Wade. Planned Parenthood "celebrated" the day, while we in the pro-life community solemnly note the day with prayers and action - March for Life, prayer services, etc.
Ok, so what's it going to be this year? And how long is it going to last?
My daughter passed by the clinic early Christmas morning and saw something inside the fence of the vacant lot at Planned Parenthood. She drove around to see it better and saw it was a manger.
She took pictures of it and I will try to put the pictures on here. After church we all took a ride out there. Two statues, a wooden shelter with words on it and an empty manger sits in the field and faces the clinic.
I thought I would pass this great success story from the prayer vigil on Saturday December 8.

I've been missing the "Wednesday Open Thread", and since I have the power …
When I arrived at the Planned Parenthood facility this morning I saw every entrance into the shopping center had pro-lifers with pictures of babies who had been aborted. It was very cold and starting to snow, the people we relieved in front of the clinic were happy to see us and spoke to us about a couple they believe turned away and did not have an abortion. We were encouraged and began to pray and to try to speak with those going in.
