America's Most Wanted Is Missing

Posted by Mary Lu on Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Well, she hasn’t been heard of Since Friday, Nov 1. You know who. She said she only stuck around for Mr. Forty-Days For Life. I tried to tell her he never left. He always was here before too. But as all lies go, they are too exhausting to continue. But we are here…for life. As promised, I, Vita T, will go on as always and forever in the lives of the precious people around the globe who know that the innocent unborn and their mother’s need protection and the choice to live. But I know you’re listening, Emily. And we always welcome your voice again. know some of your last words… [Continue reading . . . »]

Looks Like We're Not Going Away

Posted by Roger on Saturday, October 27th, 2007

Today's "Here for Life" Rally had a huge turnout, despite the cold, overcast weather and threats of rain. People gathered from all walks of life to support the gift of life outside the largest abortion mill in the U.S. What a dichotomy. On one hand, you have a group of people offering FREE help and a real "choice" to women in need, and on the other, you have the "quick and easy", unhappy, unhealthy non-solution for $ALE at PP. Protect Our Youth

Posted by greg on Friday, October 19th, 2007

The Parental Notice ordinance is an important piece of legislation that affects all of you in a personal way. It supports your rights as parents and protects your children from the predators who would want to keep their deception and harm of your children from you. As responsible adults we must support this ordinance. Let’s get this ordinance passed. When it’s all said and done though we still must remain vigilant against the forces that will harm our children.

If you are following other blogs here, you are aware of the decision by the Portland School Committee in Maine to allow distribution of birth control products in King Middle School in Maine. [Continue reading . . . »]

Messages for the Mayor: Videos from the City Council Meeting

Posted by Jeff on Friday, October 19th, 2007

pic-1.jpgWhen the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic opened a few weeks back, I’m certain that Mayor Weisner, Steve Trombley and the pro-aborts expected us to go home and consider the case over. Well they couldn’t have been more wrong!

I attended last week’s City Council meeting and was quite honestly surprised to see so many pro-lifers out in force to maintain pressure on the Mayor and to support life. The City Council meeting was once again packed with citizens demanding that the Mayor enforce Aurora laws and shut down the clinic. But the scene outside of city hall was equally compelling, as crowds of pro-lifers gathered to protest the Mayor’s actions and pray for the clinic to close.

pic-5.jpgWith growing limits on citizen speeches during council meetings, I asked those outside if they had any messages for the Mayor… and did they! Many citizens no longer have a voice in Aurora City Council meetings, but they were still eager to send a message, even a small one, to the Mayor.

Parental Notice ordinance needs your support

Posted by Eric Scheidler on Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Eric and LizaHere I am (see photo at right) this past May with my daughter Liza in our new garden. We're planting red peppers. Last night, Liza helped me make a big pot of chili using some of those very same peppers.

At eleven-going-on-twelve, Liza is the oldest of my six daughters.

As the father of so many girls—plus their two older brothers—I'm keenly interested in the Parental Notice ordinance just proposed by Alderman Rick Lawrence and endorsed by Aldermen Chris Beykirch and Richard Irvin.

Provena Health and Planned Parenthood

Posted by greg on Sunday, October 14th, 2007

On October 11th, Bruce Jaspen of the Chicago Tribune presented that Provena and Planned Parenthood are using the same public affairs firm:

COVERING BOTH SIDES: In Aurora, Chicago public relations firm Jasculca-Terman and Associates is assisting the public affairs strategies of two health organizations that don't always agree when it comes to reproductive health services.Jasculca is representing Catholic-owned Provena Health, parent of Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, while also working with Planned Parenthood.

Dominick's erects fence under cover of night

Posted by Eric Scheidler on Friday, October 12th, 2007

Fence on vacant lot -- click for largerLate last night I got a call from stalwart prayer warrior Bruce Sutcliff that a chain-link fence was being erected around the vacant lot across from the entrance to Planned Parenthood.

The fence completely blocks off the spot from which we have been reaching out to Planned Parenthood clients.

Mayor Ignores Citizens and Aldermen

Posted by Roger on Monday, October 1st, 2007

Mayor Tom Weisner had a press conference today at 3pm in which he told the press that the city would be issuing the occupancy permit sometime in the next 24 hours.

You would think the Mayor of the City of Aurora, Tom Weisner, would be a leader. But, it seems that he has his own plan in mind when it comes to Planned Parenthood. Maybe that's why he was sick and missed last week's City Council meeting where almost 200 people signed up to address the City Council. I mean, who want to listen to their constituents when your mind is already made up. [Continue reading . . . »]

Favorite speeches from the 9/25 City Council meeting

Posted by Jeff on Friday, September 28th, 2007

Funny Story I've posted my top 5 speeches from Tuesday's Aurora City Council meeting (in no particular order), providing a interesting mix of styles and viewpoints - there's a call to demolish the clinic, a funny yet compelling story about lies and evictions, straightforward legal reasoning, questions about bulletproof glass, and even a little infighting between the pro-aborts. Enjoy….
