I'm very excited about an idea for some new signs we'd like to produce to aid our sidewalk counselors at Planned Parenthood Aurora.

The signs, which were the brainchild of two of our local counselors, Karen N. and Rachelle C., read "Pregnant? Free Help 1 Block West" and then list the phone number and web address for Waterleaf Women's Center. Read on to find out how you can give a gift today to help make these signs a reality.

The first day of spring was a chilly, windy, sloppy one in Aurora, Illinois, but the warmth of spring burned brightly in the hearts of the sixty activists who joined me to protest Planned Parenthood. Far from dampening turnout, the miserable weather had only inspired us all to make our monthly witness outside the "Abortion Fortress."

Drivers passing by on New York Avenue must have been astonished to see such a determined protest going on in the high winds and driving snow. We received many complimentary honks and thumbs up. [Continue reading . . . »]

This report comes from the front lines via stalwart activist Jerry Nickels (pictured below outside Planned Parenthood Aurora). Jerry and his wife Karen have been involved in pro-life efforts in Aurora since before Planned Parenthood came to town.

Good news for counselors and prayer partners. Today at 3:20 while Deacon Tom Hawksworth and I were praying and witnessing to life at the PP facility, a young woman pulled up and parked her SUV on the road next to us.

She exited and came over to inquire whether we had some literature that we could give her—presumably for someone she knew. Tom happily had a packet and proceeded to give her a couple of brochures. [Continue reading . . . »]
