Fox Valley Families Against Planned Parenthood

Sunshine, stations and a pro-life memorial at Saturday's protest

Protest outside Planned Parenthood AuroraSaturday, April 18 was FVFAPP's monthly third Saturday protest and, for the first time in months, the weather was beautiful.

Well over 100 pro-lifers came out to let Planned Parenthood and the Fox Valley know that they do not want one of the country's largest abortion facilities in their back yard.

Many pro-lifers were protesting abortion for the very first time and expressed how good it felt to do something about a cause they feel so passionately about.

Since so many had wanted to see them but had prior commitments on Good Friday, Eric Scheidler brought the Station of the Cross he and his sons had made back out for the protest.

Stations of the Cross outside Planned ParenthoodThey were staked along Oakhurst where many pro-lifers took time to walk along the Stations in prayer for an end to abortion.

At the close of the protest, the faithful remembered longtime activist Dave Wade, who passed away Easter Sunday. Pro-lifers Debbie Lipinski and Karen Nickels shared their touching memories of Dave and his work for life. To find out more about Dave and how you can contribute to a memorial fund in his name, see Eric's about Dave.
