Saturday, February 21 was a blustery morning. Winds whipped across the vacant lot adjacent to Planned Parenthood Aurora as pro-lifers gathered at the corner of New York Street and Oakhurst Drive to protest the presence of the Abortion Fortress in their community. This was the nineteenth month in a row pro-lifers held a rally at the facility.

Stalwart activists Joe Williams and Wanda Geist came out early to shovel the sidewalk and sidewalk counselor Joe Basar got there shortly thereafter with a snowblower to finish the job and sprinkle some salt. It was cold, windy and exceptionally dark on Wednesday, February 11, when over 40 pro-lifers from Fox Valley Families Against Planned Parenthood (FVFAPP) protested Planned Parenthood's so-called "Community Forum" on Reproductive Justice at the Eola Community Center in Aurora, IL.

Planned Parenthood has been holding these Forums all over Illinois in support of Illinois House Bill 5615, the Reproductive Justice and Access Act (RJAA).

Planned Parenthood is holding a so-called "Community Forum on Reproductive Justice" at the Eola Community Center (Map) in Aurora on Wednesday, February 11.

The meeting is one of a series taking place around the state as part of an effort to drum up support for Illinois House Bill 5615, now being called the Reproductive Justice and Access Act (RJAA), and Fox Valley Families Against Planned Parenthood will be there to protest.

Two recent articles in the Aurora Beacon News have spotlighted resistance to the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) by Fox Valley Catholics. While FOCA is a grave concern for all pro-life Americans, the threat posed by this bill to the Catholic health care system makes the issue particularly troubling for Catholics.
