The un-shoveled sidewalk along New York Street in Aurora was covered with a good eight inches of snow when we arrived Saturday morning for the monthly protest. Winds howled across the vacant lot between Planned Parenthood and the street. Temperatures were in the teens, well below freezing, and the sky was mid-morning winter gray.

It's time again for one of the best pro-life conferences of the year: Speakout Illinois at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. Sponsored by the Pro-Life Action League and thirty other Illinois pro-life groups, Speakout is your chance to hear some of the best pro-life speakers in the country and fellowship with your fellow pro-lifers.

This year's speakers include Fr. Tom Euteneuer of Human Life International, Phyllis Schlafley of the Eagle Forum, and Dr. Alveda King of Priests for Life, daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Also for teens, the annual Teenspeak conference will be running at the same time as Speakout. Speakers for Teenspeak will include Dr. King and Bryan Kemper of Stand True Ministries.
