Please pray for Mayor Weisner today
Posted by Eric Scheidler on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008
This morning on the radio I heard that Aurora Mayor Tom Weisner is undergoing surgery today at Northwestern Memorial Hospital to remove a cancerous tumor from his colon. As the Beacon reports, the mayor was found to be cancer-free earlier this year, after a successful bout with colon cancer last year.
Mayor Weisner has been no friend to us in our battle against Planned Parenthood, but perhaps for that reason he is all the more deserving of our prayers today for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.
No word yet on what impact this recent diagnosis might have on the mayor's plans to run for reelection next year.
Update: The Beacon reports today (9-11-08) that the mayor's prognosis is good after the surgery.
Superb handling of the aforementioned Mayor's illness!

I will pray for the Mayor in his fight for life. Life is indeed precious isn't it prolifers? WE STAND FOR LIFE, INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE WOMB.

My people, you come to Me and ask Me to forgive you so you too must be willing to do the same. Continue to journey the road to heaven for every soul is called to be My disciple. Each new day go forth and witness My love to your neighbor for it may be by your willingness to witness that may bring one more soul closer to Me.

Again, God is knocking on Mayor Weiner’s door, will he hear Him? Pray that he does. How merciful God is!! What is sickness? But an opportunity, another opportunity for him to see all life as it should be, valued, nurtured and protected, from conception to natural death. An opportunity to realize that God is the God of mercy and love. That God wants him to be obedient to Him and turn away from his evil deeds. Pray for all who are sick that they embrace there suffering and offer it to Jesus, and cleanse their souls with His love.

First, I would like to say that today I was feeling sad and confused, asking our Lord what He thought of me. This is what he said…
I was counseling today and at one point had my back facing away from the clinic. A friend of mine noticed a lady who had slowed down and then came to a complete stop. My friend said, I think she wants some literature. I came up to her. She at first sounded sort of confused as to why she had stopped. We talked about a few things and I told her about abortion. She then said, I had an abortion. I said I was so sorry. She then continued to say she had it because the doctors told her that she may die, or the baby may be not quite right. She continued half heartedly with her reasons. As she was talking and then stopped for a bit, I was about to say something when I heard a little whisper in my soul that said, "sh,be quiet." I just looked at her with I guess you might describe the eyes of our Lord. Because I knew at this point, He was in charge. She then started to cry. The loss of her child was so profound, I know she knew that all the reasons she just told to me were meaningless to her. Her pain was so deep and excruciating. I had her pull over to the side of the road. I reached in her car and hugged her and consoled her for a long time. At that moment I realized our Lord was loving her, and bringing her back to Him. Back to His all encompassing Mercy, Love and forgiveness. I told her she is loved and her tears are a gift to Jesus. A gift of repentance. That she is on her journey to being whole again and living a life of peace with Him. She said she lives right around the clinic and when it went up and all the prayer people came, she was in constant pain and suffering. She said she would drive out of her way to avoid it. But today, she did not know why she came and stopped. I said, I do!! Jesus led you by your hand. I took her hand and held it tight. She cried some more. She said she use to go to church when she was young and knew Jesus, but has left Him for a long time now. I said, He is calling you back, she said, yes and then a smile of relief came over her face. I gave her my phone number and told her to call any time, day or night. I also gave her all the post abortive numbers and told her they are wonderful people who will help her and understand her pain. She said she needs them so much. She has been taking anxiety pills now for years and nothing helps. I said Jesus is the best medicine and you are going to be ok. She thanked me and we said goodbye.
Thank you Dear Jesus. And thank you to my friend who loves our Lord so much and is being used by our Lord to bring people to Him. God be with you all, Karen K.
"My people, go forth and witness My love to the world and witness My love to your neighbor. Do not hide your faith under a bushel for this fear is not coming from Me. All who proclaim the good news will be rewarded. My people, in order for you to be a saint you must show good fruits. You must love your neighbor as yourself and forgive those who have continuously hurt you in love."( from Words of Jesus)

If the article by the Daily Herald is correct they found colorectal cancer on the Mayor's liver. This is not good news. Although I wish him personally no ill will it is so sad that a man who is fighting for his own life brought a fortress of death into this city. He destroyed the trust of Aurora citizens in their city officials, used the city's legal council to defend the deception perpetrated by one of the most devisive organizations in this nation and he still continues to do so. I have had business people say to me "No other business would have been allowed to lie, deceive and thumb their noses at the zoning and building regulations, the Aurora citizens and the community in this way" What a pathetic legacy to leave. May God have mercy on this man who not only helped this pro-death organization sneak into our city but instead of protecting the city of Aurora, he has used our tax dollars to protect Planned Parenthood and the city's legal team to go after those who defend the lives of innocent, unborn babies. The vindictiveness of the city's legal council against prolifers is quite evident at each of the hearings at city hall, and attempts at intimidation were evident at prolife marches last year. I pray for him to repent for the atrocities he has brought into the city by bringing "the largest abortion fortress in the nation to Aurora" (at least it was the largest when it opened). We have much to pray for, especially God to transform the Mayor's heart.
