Eric,

You and I both know McCain is not 100% Pro-Life. I believe voting for the "lessor of two evils" is still a vote for evil.

Let's not debate about McCain right now. I still believe there will be an Independent Candidate who will be 100% Pro-Life who will run for President.

I would actually like you, Eric to consider running for President sometime. Otherwise I am going to have to keep pestering Peter Breen to run.

Mike—I hope by November you will change your mind about not voting for McCain. He's not all we could wish, but he is far from the disaster that Clinton or Obama would be for unborn babies.

I'm sure you and I agree that our duty as citizens is to vote in a way that will best serve the pro-life cause. Sometimes, in my view, that means a "defensive" vote for the candidate who will do the least damage to the fight for life.

In other words, I feel it is my duty to vote for John McCain in November, precisely on the basis of my pro-life convictions.

Student,

I have a few additional questions for you. Here they are...

1. Should it be legal for a woman to kill her unborn child solely because there is genetic evidence that the child may turn out to be gay?

2. Would You Support National Legislation Stating Abortion Clinics MUST Give Free Sonograms/Ultrasounds of the Woman's Unborn Baby Before Performing an Abortion?

3. Do You Believe Jesus Would Be FOR or AGAINST Partial Birth Abortion?

Follow Up Question: Why?

I'm not a single issue voter. I have serious concerns about the affordablity of education, health care, the environment, the war, social security, pension benefits, unions, children, women's issues and the poor. All of these issues have influenced my choice.

Student,

So if Hitler were running for President and was on your side on all the issues you listed above, yet he was killing 6 million innocent Jews -- then you are saying you would vote for Hitler because you are not a one issue voter.

Student, come on now -- your making excuses for your vote. I really think your smarter than that.

Thanks for the link, but I'll get my info from a credible source…..and I don't believe Stanek to be in that category.

Student,

All Jill Stanek is doing is showing you Obama voted against the IL Infants Protection Act. That's all. It's not a matter of whether or not its a credible source.

Don't you think the "life issue" shows a persons or politicians CHARACTER and INTEGRITY or LACK OF IT?

How could you vote for a person who won't protect babies after they are born. This is so extreme! It shows so much lack of character and lack of integrity. Arn't you embarrassed voting for Obama?

Where is your heart?

Student,

You don't feel Stanek is credible? She was THERE when Christ Hospital was practicing infanticide..she SAW it for herself..you don't get much more real than that. I love the people who comment there..the conversations are quite stimulating.

Mike,
Thanks for the link, but I'll get my info from a credible source.....and I don't believe Stanek to be in that category. I have read at length about the issue you mention and, yes, even with that vote, I will vote for Obama. There were reasons for his vote which I've done my best to explain before, but minds here have already been made up and it's not worth my time.

Student,

Are you telling me you would vote for a candidate who is willing to withdraw food from babies outside their mothers womb until they die?

What kind of health care program do you call this?

Obama while an IL Senator voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Here are links you need to check out regarding Obama's vote...

------

By the way I cannot vote for either Obama, Clinton or McCain. None of them are Pro-Life.

Student,
I have read your posts about Obama. I have heard the same statements from all of my Democrat family and friends. It confuses me since I know them to all be intelligent people and I have listened to the same speeches myself. I have yet to hear him say anything. His speeches are full of rhetoric where he talks about change and looking toward the future. He calls his campaign a movement and asks people to follow him. While part of being a politician is being good at rhetoric he has nothing but. Not too mention that while he doesn't commit to a specific position or plan his limited voting record show him to be of a socialist mind set which always takes money out of the middle class pocket more then anywhere else and actually keeps the poor from doing better not to mention the the horrors of socialized health care. We need only to look at socialist countries to see this. He also voted against the partial birth abortion ban which even most those who justify abortion during any other time during pregnancy do consider infanticide. While I would never vote for Senator Clinton at least I have a reasonably clear picture on where she stands and how she would accomplish it. Senator Obama is inexperienced and more of a charismatic cult leader who is potentially dangerous to this country then the deliverer he makes himself out to be. Many a country has met it's downfall by following the (often but not always) good looking, fast talking, seemingly idealistic leader.

Amy
P.S. - While I have been voting Republican lately due to my desire to vote pro - life I would consider myself libertarian. Unfortunately most Libertarian candidates tend toward a pro - choice stance.
