Wednesday Open Thread: Pro-Life and Persistence
Posted by Roger on Wednesday, December 5th, 2007
I've been missing the "Wednesday Open Thread", and since I have the power …
In some posts on this blog, there are those that suggest that we go away already, or that we are hateful. I tend to think that we are loving and are having a very positive impact on people as a whole.
The question for today is:
Are we making a difference in a positive way, and how?
And since it's almost Thursday, please feel free make your comments past Wednesday!
God Bless, Roger
See post dated December 1. At least 2 babies were saved that day due to our presence. If that's not loving and positive, what is?

We made a difference when we supported the resolution requiring enforcement of the Parental Notification Act of 1995. We must stop Planned Parenthood and their abortionists from harming ou unemancipated minors.

Considering the way the law is stacked against us, I'd say that keeping the mill closed for two weeks, getting the parental notification thing passed, and keeping pressure on the city is doing good.

We can change the world! We are only doing what we have been called to do. We are a voice for the voiceless, the last defense for the defenseless. If only one life is saved it will have been worth it. How much is one life worth? We are made in God's own image. We are not the creator. It is not up to us to destroy life given by God. These babies are out of sight out of mind for some very frightened young people. We need to be there to remind them that they already have a baby, not a glob of tissue, the big lie. I do not want in the end to stand before God and be judged for what I didn't do for one of his most precious gifts.

Where do I start? Let me count the ways…lol..
1)PIC fundraiser - the attention and renewed conviction produced an all time high fundraiser allowing the Pregnancy Information Center to begin it's journey to becoming a medical facility as well.
2) Anyone see all those yellow signs in the area? Everytime I pass one, I think there lives a brother and/or a sister! What a great feeling to be able to see all the family I have!
3) Everywhere I go, people are talking - consciousness has been raised - and people are examining their beliefs - and not only about abortion!
4) Did you hear the councilmen at the last city meeting? There was testimony there from councilmen that they were reexamining their beliefs - again -not only about abortion.
5) Read the newspaper lately? Almost daily there is something there about the issues - sometimes good and sometimes bad - but it's out there in our faces - I think that is positive.
6) I have never been in one room with Christians of so many denominations with a single purpose and goal. WE are GOD's church together - hands, feed, eyes, tongue, ears, etc. Each of us, working together, for a powerful God…how can that not be powerful The people of God in this city coming together to make it better!
7)How many weeks did we keep the PP facility closed? How many babies did we save?
8)We know of a few babies that were for sure saved by our presence, God knows of many more. Just our being there will cause some to not even consider going there. Others are impacted by our prayer - I have faith - hundreds of babies have been saved.
9) Several volunteers from differnt pregnancy information centers have reported calls and requests for assistance are increased - what do you think that means???
10) Christians (like me) who maybe stood in front of an abortion clinic once a year or maybe never are now praying weekly at the site.
11) Politics has turned back to this issue in the fore front.
12) We have inspired others at similar sites across the country to perservere and to rally also.
13) My children and many other children are discussing it in schools, churches, and our homes - giving us a teaching opportunity both in telling them what is right and then showing them how Christians should react to this travesty.
14) Christians are praying! For hours and hours - not just at dinner and at church and at bedtime!
15) Women are getting help. Babies are being saved. Peoples lives are being changed.
I could go on and on…but never doubt that we are having a positive impact. Anytime God's people unite in prayer and perserverence under his divine direction and will…we WILL have a positive influence. God Bless you all and thank you for having a positive impact on me and being a part of my life! I thank God for each of you - even the Accadias and the Hoochies (who I know God is working on - because they are still listening and watching and learning!)

Wanda….AMEN to all of that and much more!!
AS the saying goes "It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness"…
By our actions we are doing the lighting…one candle at a time…soon, in God's time, there will be no more darkness.
Let's keep the faith going, folks!

We have had a far reaching effect. They are considering a parental notification law in Napervile.

What we are doing here in Aurora is pure in it's intention for us locally, however the ripple effect could be unsettling for abortion abusers.
I believe this will support others with our convictions to speak up and be heard and be damning to the other projects where Planned Parenthood has been decietful in their intentions.
This could be a watershed moment. Planned parenthood is doing everything they can to seal the crack in their dam of deciet and lies. When the foundation shifts because of a closure of Planned Parenthood Aurora. All bets could be off and a massive construction project to repair the damage and make it stronger, since the tide is rising and the pressure is mounting. Aurora could finally expose this dark business and shed the theory of invincibility.
God Bless us and our missions, every one!!!!
