It was from Maccabees chapter 7. A whole family of brothers who accept persecution even unto death rather than break the commandments of God. I will pray and meditate on their example that I might gain the inner strength to keep Gods commandments so my lifes journey leaves me worthy of redemption on judgement day. Since I am so weak, I through myself upon the mercy gained through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that I not be lead into temptation, but delivered from evil.
