Former employees sue Steve Trombley and Planned Parenthood

Posted by Eric Scheidler on Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Steve TrombleyIt seems we're not the only ones suing and Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area and PP/CA CEO Steve Tombley. One of our researchers recently uncovered two lawsuits that reveal some internal strife at PP/CA.

In one suit, Dr. Murray Pelta, O.B. Gyn, medical director at PP/CA for ten years, is suing Planned Parenthood and its CEO Steve Trombley for firing him in violation of his employment agreement.

In his Verified Complaint [PDF], Pelta states that he did favors for Trombley, like writing “discreet” medial prescriptions for Trombley’s personal use, without recording or reporting them.

Last December Pelta performed an abortion on a former board member and current employee of Planned Parenthood, keeping it confidential at her request. He did not charge her or record the procedure. Trombley found out and reprimanded Pelta. A few weeks later, he fired the doctor.

We also discovered a lawsuit [PDF] brought by a PP/CA nursed who was fired by PP/CA Associate Medical director Darryn Dunbar. The nurse accuses Dunbar of anti-Semitism and of trying to increase his power and status at PPCA eliminating persons connected to Dr. Pelta.

Among her complaints, the nurse charges that PP failed to ensure the presence of an anesthesiologist, licensed physician or registered nurse in or around the recovery room when sedation patients are present, and that unlicensed employees were performing ultrasounds.

Sounds like things are pretty ugly on the inside at Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area. No surprise: once you're killing unborn babies, why stop at lying on building permits, firing employees unlawfully or libeling your opponents?

This news combined with yesterday's announcement of the 107 count criminal complaint (including 23 felony counts) against Planned Parenthood in Kansas shows once again the type of corporate citizen Planned Parenthood is. The mayor says he is powerless to keep them out of Aurora, but with the upcoming legal battle hopefully the powers that be in Aurora will find a way to side with those opposed to PP and force them to shut down.

Wow. PP fired its abortionist? That is news. Please make sure your researcher keeps an eye on these cases as they go through civil court.

I'm sure that the final settlements will be confidential, but if one of the cases goes to court, imagine the dirty laundry that would air!

Finally, I'm surprised that a PP employee and former board member needed an abortion. Doesn't she have access to birth control? Aren't we told all the time by PP supporters that access to birth control would eliminate the need for abortion? How do they explain this miracle?

I'm not surprised….GREED is one of the deadly sins…if you're wallowing in one, the other six are sure to follow.

The TRUTH about PP will be it's downfall….

I just realized Dr. Murray Pelta was their CHIEF abortionist and was making $650K per year….roughly double what Trombley makes…

You know, I hate to say it but every time I see Mr. Trombley, he looks like a drug addict. Those dark circles under his eyes are starting to make sense!!!

    To Jerry Nickels (comment #1):

Can you post the URL link where you found that news story of PP in Kansas, please?

Also, for the record, a 40 year-old Nebraska woman recently filed a malpractice lawsuit against PP Nebraska and Council Bluffs and its chief 'medical director' abortionist, Meryl Severson, M.D., (a former professor at the University of Nebraska) after she nearly bled to death from a gross perforation of her uterus. Read the legal complaint to see how terribly this woman suffered during a so-called "safe and legal abortion" at the hands of a former university medical professor who kills babies for a living at a Planned Parenthood clinic!

This link will take you to the news site of the law firm of Keating, O'Gara, Nedved & Peter of Lincoln, NE, which is representing the woman who filing anonymously under the name "Jane Roe". On this page you will find a link to the actual legal complaint on file:

    -No personal attacks
    -No profanity or obscenity
    -No misrepresentation

You must police yourselves. For all the problems we all have with Steve Trombley, to insinuate that he is a drug addict makes us (prolifers) as deceitful as PP. Let the lawsuit determine the facts.
Marie: Unless you have his drug testing records you can not make that assumption. You would probably also conclude that I’m a drug addict, because I have messy hair, bags under my eyes and I walk around half asleep. I can assure you, I am not.

I love Lincoln University. The stepshows are the best. And the black founders were former slaves who knew that they needed to create an educational institution for themselves so that they could stay forever out of bondage.
