Great to see we have a huge event planned for this fall! I think "It's not over. We're here for life!" captures the local pro-life spirit perfectly… I'm sure that PP expected pro-lifers to melt away once they opened, but I feel more motivated now than ever to come out and show PP what we're made of!

I think that in light of the recent obvious scandal in the Aurora goverment, that we need to show them what Abortion is while they can still do something about it. These people need shock treatment. There is no better proof of the evil of Abortion than the picture of the little saint, Malachi. Like someone once said, he did not realize what the Holocost was until he saw the pictures. Our priest Father Barr says that showing the graphic pictures is like an exorcism, you are showing people the truth.

I can tell you there will be more residents there because of that note so I say thank you.

But more important I don't know if you know that they put up a fence last night around the open land and it reminds me of how Mayor Daley closed Meigs. In the middle of the night.

  8. Patricia says:

As I watched Mass this morning on EWTN, it was as tho the sermon was written for the evil situation we face with planned parenthood in Aurora.

The wise priest said that all priests and bishops need to gather with the lay people at these clinics to pray that the demons will leave the hearts of these people who work in these buildings.

He stated that the 'demons of abortion' need to be exorcised from all those involved with abortion, since deomonic possession is a reality.

He explained that the church as a whole needs to be involved.

It was frightening listening to this message, but in reality what can be more frightening than a mother allowing her own flesh and blood to be tortured, murdered and thrown away like garbage.
And likewise, Drs. who took an oath to save lives, and now participate in an act to end the lives of the most defenseless human beings who are created in our Lords image.

I would think since DuPage county has 5 abortion mills and is being called the abortion capital of the U.S. that all our religious leaders would be out there full force supporting all the lay people who give their time, love, prayers and support for the unborn, defenseless babies.

Whom can we contact to get this message to our religious leaders?

I haven't met any neighbors who are pro-life that don't like the signs. As we discussed this topic a few weeks ago in front of the Planned Parenthood, a car pulled up with two young men. One of the men stated that his girl friend had aborted his ten week old baby. He said that he had no idea what his child actualy looked like until he saw the pictures on Rt.59 and New York Street a few months ago. He also thanked us for being there and said that he is now pro-life.
We loved how the rally was coordinated last time, with the picket, prayer, and progress.

I have a suggestion to all pro-lifers…since Dominick's is taking the Planned Parenthood side by fencing in the yard last night, maybe we should boycott them by not shopping at this particular store/location. I'm sure the store management would notice a big difference in sales! Just a thought…

Hey, everyone, why don't you report here on what you've been doing to promote the October 27 Rally?

How have you been spreading the word? Have you:

    • Posted something on your blog?
    • Sent out a message to your e-mail contacts?
    • Asked your pastor to make an announcement?
    • Tried to get an ad in your church bulletin?

    Let us all know!

  17. pastor Randy says:

    hey Eric,

Today, as part of my warehouse update email (yours in probably in your inbox), sent out the flyer about the rally. This goes to a bunch of Aurora pastors and churches (as well as many others around the country, and some in a few other parts of the world – some of 'em won't be able to come from their continent, but they'll be praying!)

We will have the flier in our Sunday bulletin, and it will be announced Sunday as well.

I'm looking forward to the 27th, and I'll be doing everything I can to get people out there..

    Patricia in Comment #8 asks:

"Whom can we contact to get this message to our religious leaders?"

We all need to ask our own pastors to come out to the PP site to pray with us – as often as possible. If you are Catholic, please, PLEASE, ask your bishop to come out as often as possible. Let them know we support them, especially when they are brave enough to take a public stand, and to stand in public, not just issue statements. This is how we will send a message to the city and to the world.

I am so pleased about basically every aspect of this rally, and can't wait to participate. Could you please post some details about the "baby shower"? What are the most needed items? Do they need clothing and furniture as well as diapers, etc.? I called the local PIC at one point to offer them some (sealed) baby food I had left over, and they said they could not distribute that item. Are there other things that the PIC could NOT use?

    Thanks for all you do!

  23. Andrea H. in Aurora says:

    Erin,
I left a message for Dawn K. who is coordinating the baby shower. She has all the info on what is of greatest needed for PIC, Birth Right and Project Gabriel. We hope to have the information posted on this website and in Eric's emails so that everyone can have this information. I have heard that the crisis pregnancy centers need larger size diapers rather than newborn or size 1.

  24. Rachel G. says:

I came upon your web site while I was searching for civil rights issues to write about for my history class. I honestly did not belive that a group of people could have such backward views of abortion. Abortion is THE WOMAN'S CHOICE. She will usually have a good reason for aborting her child. Would her child have sustained AIDS? A genetic disorder? Would it have been deformed? The mother could have become pregnant due to rape or incest. The baby might have been causing damage to the mother. Yes, teenagers engage in sexual behavior. However, Planned Parenthood encourages abstinence and, when all else fails, the use of birth control and condoms. I myself am a teenager. While I never would engage in risky sexual behavior, I know of people who do so due to low self esteem. Planned Parenthood is there to HELP and EDUCATE those teens. When all else fails, and the teen is far too young to carry a child full term, they are there to abort the baby and assist the mother in getting their life back on track.
If you wanted to help these teen mothers, you would not be organizing these rallies. You would be reaching out to the community and working with Planned Parenthood to educate the wayward teens.

    Rachel G.,

Abortion does not put anyone's life "back on track". It's more like a trainwreck. Think about it.

    October 14th, 2007 at 11:23 am
  26. Rachel G. says:

Allow me to rephrase: abortion is a necessary evil. What would be more traumatic to a young teenage mother (for it is the mother whom one must be concerned about)- aborting her child or going through a painful, lethal pregnancy, almost dying while giving birth, being permanently damaged physically and emotionally, and watching her child grow up in the same house and be molested just as she was. And sometimes adoption is not an option. Parents believe that their child made a mistake and had to live with it, even if she was raped. So it is best to educate parents about the circumstances around rape and incest, to educate the teenagers about adoption and reporting harassment and/or seduction, rather than attempting to eradicate abortion altogether.

VATICAN CITY (AP) – The Vatican said Saturday it has suspended a monsignor from a senior post at the Holy See after an Italian TV program using a hidden camera recorded him making advances to an under age young man and asserting that gay sex was not sinful.

The Vatican did not identify the monsignor by name. But Monsignor Tommaso Stenico confirmed in a telephone interview with The Associated Press that he had been suspended from his post at the Vatican 's Congregation for Clergy, an office which aims to ensure proper conduct by priests.

I would have to say that waking up one day and realizing that she's killed her own baby would be more traumatic than any of those other situations you've mentioned. They all make for a dramatic argument but there is no such thing as a necessary evil when it comes to murdering a baby. For more information on the abortion issue, you can go to the Home page of this FVAPP web site and click on Tools. There you can find out more about Planned Parenthood and how they promote abortion and even protect child predators from the law. You may consider them as the topic of your "civil rights" paper. The "right to choose" was a catch phrase created by pro-aborts and has no real basis in law.

Rachel G, let me tell you something. 12 years ago I had an abortion because I thought it was my right. I walked into a Planned Parenthood in downtown Chicago with protesters standing on the sidewalk begging me not to do it. I wish I would have listened. The moment I woke up from that horribly procedure, I cried…and have never stopped crying. I was 22 years old and having unprotected sex with a married man. He wanted me to abort it so his wife wouldn't find out, and I let him talk me into it.

The procedure was incomplete, and I had to go back 27 days later and go through the same thing all over again because my body was toxic.

Do not sit here and tell me or anyone else that it's a "right", because it's not. It's a stupid, selfish act, and it is MURDER. I AM A MURDERER. Here I am 12 years later, and not one day goes by where my heart doesn't ACHE for the loss of what could have been a beautiful boy or girl.

Since that time, I have found a way to turn my horrific act into a way to help other women. I have worked with girls who have considered abortion, and helped them find alternatives. Some have kept their babies and are raising beautiful babies – sure, it was hard for them to adjust, but they made it. Some have given their babies up for adoption and helped women who can not bear children share unconditional love with a wonderful child that she "could have" aborted, but didn't.

At 34 years old, I am now the proud parent of a 15 month old little girl (after three miscarriages due to the abortion I had 12 years ago). At one time I felt that God was punishing me for doing what I did, and I thought I would never have children because of it. But I have since learned that God LOVES me and has forgiven me. It is my duty to use my mistake as a way to educate other women on the health risks, the heartache and the physical trauma that abortion brings.

This is probably not the place to discuss this, but I feel that if there is even one woman out there who is considering abortion, perhaps my message will help them think about making a better shoice – providing life.

It's not a "choice", it's DEATH, it's MURDER, and it's a sin. THOU SHALT NOT KILL. I've made a horrible mistake in my life, but I learned from it and I can teach other women to learn from my mistake too.

    God bless.

Re: Getting the news out about the 10/27/07 Rally-

Prolife Committee members stand at all the exits of Our Lady of Good Counsel and personally hand a Rally flyer to parishioners leaving the Church. We are able to address people by name and tell them that we would really like to see them at the Rally. We also divvy up the Church directory and phone people. Both methods add a personal touch to soliciting. People like that and are able to ask questions.

I just read the responses to this and I am pro life. I want to say that this is an a woman's clinic to help with woman's health. It's not only abortions they do here.
I am upset at those that suggests that since Dominicks put up a fence in that field in front of planned parenthood that you think they took thier side and your going to boycott them. As a former Dominick's Employee from many years ago when that site opened. I am offended by that. So if you work there and your against planned parenthood you have to quit your Job because they put up a fence? Come on people this is private property. When you see a fence up that means they don't want no protesters either for it nor against it on thier properity.
Each woman that has an abortion has thier own right to have it if they are not stable to have one. Lets see what about a dope addict or an alcholic or someone that has major problems and will pass it unto the kid?
Why don't you take the time and pick out someone to say abortion is not the only choice be thier friends not condemn them because they are aborting the baby. You don't know thier situation and so on.
I have read you other website about Birth control and I want to say those that have medical problems such as I that bleeds with clumps for two weeks needs to be on Birth control to regulate. I read that it's a big sin to us this however, you don't know the situation either.
STOP GOING INTO WOMAN'S BUISNESSES AND PROTESTING SOMETHING YOU CANNOT CONTROL. THE SIGN ON THE BUILDING SAYS PLANNED PARENTHOOD NOW OPEN SO LIVE WITH IT. Go find another hobby to defend life. This clinic will never close because this is a great tool for Aurora because what I witnessed.

"Why don't you take the time and pick out someone to say abortion is not the only choice be thier friends not condemn them because they are aborting the baby."

As you can see from Anonymous above and so many others, we are not CONDEMNING these women; we are here to help them. We don't condemn them, that's not our job and it's not our right. What we want to do is teach these women that there are other options to abortion. We want to teach them that their baby has the right to live, and that there are millions of women out there who can't have babies who would give their right arm to have one. So many people out there are willing to adopt AND PAY FOR the care of the baby and mother through the pregnancy.

Girls get so scared and don't know where to turn. We are here to help them with making these choices; we are not here to punish them, comdemn them or call them names.

I want to thank you for your story. We all can talk about how wrong it is all we want to, but your story of someone having gone through and SEEING how wrong it is firsthand is very helpful to those people who frankly just don't get it. I am so glad you have gotten to have the joy of having a baby…15 months old is such a great time…well it all is really. My daughter is 20 months old now and I KNOW I made the right "choice" even though in my mind there wasn't anything else for me. I could have never had an abortion…it just wasn't in me. I never bought all the crap that liberals/PP tried to sell me about it, because I knew better and couldn't pretend that I didn't. God Bless You and Thank you for your story!

"Today, having a clear faith based on the Creed of the Church is often labeled as fundamentalism. Whereas relativism, that is, letting oneself be "tossed here and there, carried about by every wind of doctrine", seems the only attitude that can cope with modern times. I am visiting this site to find out "WHAT'S NEXT?"- since the clinic is now open. I'm glad to hear about this rally. After reading some of the comments I'd like to comment as well: At the time of my conversion to Christ, (although I always professed to be a Christian), I came to admit something I guess I always knew: "ABORTION IS WRONG" -Yes, a woman HAS A CHOICE. (In that, I am Pro-Choice). We choose who to serve; we choose between good and evil; we choose life or death. Choose life! Admittingly, Planned Parenthood performs some good services, but we cannot overlook the killing of those who cannot yet choose. If you love the God of all life, but do not believe an "unborn" is a person, please read: Psalms 139:13-16, Jeremiah 1:5, Isaiah 44:2 and Isaiah 49:1. Bless you all and thanks for reading my comment.

Can anyone send me links to the following Psalms that the above poster recommended to read?

    Psalms 139:13-16, Jeremiah 1:5, Isaiah 44:2 and Isaiah 49:1

I do not have access to them and would be interested to read them…

    Thanks

    John,

If you didn't get a link, all these verses including Jeremiah 1:4-5, Luke 1:12-15, Luke 1:30-33, Luke 1:41-42, talk about how God knew us before we were thought of to our parents, at fertilization, and in utero. We must remeber that Jesus could have walked out of the desert as a 30 year old man. But God decided to come to this world in the same way we all do. A zygote, embryo, fetus (in greek means unborn baby/infant depending on its use), and ultimately a born infant. It is this process that makes us human. Becuase Jesus came this way and not any other is all the more convincing reason to believe God loves, cherishes and wants us to protect, love and cherish every unborn baby. Mary and Joseph are our role models for "crisis pregnancies".

She was 14-15, he 18-19, and they trusted the Lord to take care of them. Mary could have been stoned to death. But she trusted God with her life and her unborn son. Joseph trusted the Lord to take her as his wife anyway. This is no small matter. He would have gone to her house adn taken her to his family's home. He would have walked down the street with the whole town talking about him and her. The looks and gossip that would have happened. WOW – and they both completely trusted that God would take care of all of them. And I look at my faith at 36 and I am still a baby. I want to learn to have that kind of faith. I pray the Lord will teach me to have that kind of faith. It is very humbling.

If you want, I'd be happy to type it out if you want. I don't mind.

Great news coming from Kansas today, something to celebrate at the Oct. rally!

"Johnson County District Attorney Phil Kline charged the Overland Park, Kan., clinic with 107 counts, 23 of them felonies. Besides 29 misdemeanor counts of providing unlawful late-term abortions, the clinic is charged with multiple counts of making a false writing, failure to maintain records and failure to determine viability."

If each state would take a stand against the evils of planned parenthood, there is hope that our government would possibly stop giving them over 300 million dollars of our tax money.

Then one by one they would have no choice but to start closing their doors, as the 5 facilities in Michigan were forced to do when the state cut funding to P.P.

There truly is power in prayer, Thank you Jesus.

    ProliferfromAurora,

If you support planned parenthood, you support abortions, therefore you are NOT pro-life. End of story. You can't pick and choose what you support with an organization. You give a donation or any other form of support you can not specify what it goes towards, it goes to benefit the organiztion that performs abortions, so therefore it goes towards ABORTIONS!

"The only one who knows absolute truth is God right?

So until the time when all of us make that journey to meet Him would we all not be able to live in better peace and harmony if truths were up to the individual?"

I'm not trying to be a smarty pants, I'm just trying to understand your statement…if truths were left up to individuals, do you think I would be right in believing that I could walk into someone's home or someone's work place and steal their belongings, or sleep with their spouses? If I believe it to be the truth that doing these things are ok, does that make them ok?

There are commandments in the Bible that state "thou shalt not steal" and "thou shalt not commit adultery"…just as there is a commandment that says "thou shalt not kill". I think it's clear that these absolute truths come from GOD.

  52. Andie says:

Also, here are some verses from the Bible that state WE as a community, as a nation, as children of God, must help prevent abortion:

Proverbs 31:8-9: (8) Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…. (9) … defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Proverbs 24:11 – Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

Psalm 82:3-4: (3) Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. (4) Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

What cuts a person off from Christ and the fellowship of his people is the endorsement of sin. For the repentant there is forgiveness and cleansing and hope.

I am not supporting planned parenthood. All I am saying is that you don't know the situation or the other. I haven't gave planned parenthood a dime and I will never will. However, I asked what is wrong about being on Birth control for health reasons? You know me for bleeding in clumps and heavy for two weeks. Your saying I should bleed to death if and not get Birth control that helps it?
I am pro life and pro choice at once. Being pro choice don't mean abortion you know. I am totally against abortion. Are you planning on camping out there during the winter months?

No of course these things listed above are not ok in my book but to another they might be…

Here is a perfect example of the flip side to this…

People have been murdering in wars for years and yet one of the commandments is Thou shall not kill.

So what is the truth here…both sides in wars always feel like they are on the good side/true and correct side and justify their murders because of this. Then history will be written by the side who won as the truth.

The truth to me however is that all murder is unjustifiable except in self defense. There you go mulitple truths…

There are always multiple truths in this world…The truth that truely matters is the one thats in your heart and in your head.

"People have been murdering in wars for years and yet one of the commandments is Thou shall not kill."

Just for your reading pleasure, here are some verses regarding the 6th commandment and killing in war.

I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you." (Leviticus 26:3)

"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

"Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle…" (Psalm 144:1)

"It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze … I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. I have wounded them, so that they were not able to rise; they have fallen under my feet. For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me." (Psalm 18:32,37)

"If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small." (Proverbs 24:10)

"The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name … Your Right Hand, O Lord, has become glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, has dashed the enemy in pieces. And in the greatness of Your excellence you have overthrown those who rose against You; You sent forth Your wrath which consumed them like stubble." (Exodus 15:3,6)

"Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the Lord see it, it displeases Him…" (Proverbs 24:17)

I have been encouraging all my friends to come to the biggest Pro-Life Rally ever on October 27.

I have also given the promotion materials to the pastors of two large Chicago parishes: St. Mary of the Angels and St. Stanislaus Kostka, asking them to put notices in their weekly bulletins this weekend, October 20-21.

PRAY THE PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL OFTEN,
and I would like to recommend it be prayed at least once every hour at the PP site: for protection for the women, their babies, the sidewalk counselors, the prayer supporters, the clinic workers, the police, passersby, everyone. Here is the prayer, in case you don't already know it by heart:

Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell, Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

I want to thank Eric and all prolifers for their dedication to the cause of speaking up for the least of God's human creation.I for many years was a proabortion non practicing Catholic.I talked two girls into having abortions.I was living a sinful heathen lifestyle.I broke all 10 Commandments.I finally hit rock bottom and knelt before a crucifix and cried like i've never cried before and asked Jesus to help me.That was about 12 years ago and I'm living proof of God's mercy, love grace, and forgiveness.I have been praying at abortion mills for some time now and try to give testimony of how God healed this former accessory to murder.I love God,women and children so much that I try to come to Aurora every week on my day off.I live in Rockford and will be at your rally.Thank you,Jesus for loving and forgiving me.

    To ProLifer from Aurora:
Sorry to hear you are having extraordinary bleeding during your monthly cycle. The pill doesn't address the problem. It only covers it up. Do you know why your are bleeding so profusely? It not, you deserve a true diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan. There are many reasons why this can happen. One is fibroids. I recommend you contact Dr. Robert Lawler in Downer's Grove. He will not undertreat you and you will know exactly why this is happening and you will be given the proper treatment for the true underlying cause. It won't be the pill, not to mention the many life threatening side effects known to be associated with long term use (like stroke, cancer). Get a good doctor and get well. God bless you.

Hey Sylvia, Great pictures, just what I wanted to see! It was the best rally yet, that’s what the pictures can't show. The fence didn't stop a thing, it just made us more determined. I hope Dominick's gets the message. I hope Planned Parenthood gets it. I was so happy with the turn-out everyone was so friendly. I heard repeated compliments about how well organized it was. There were a lot of smiling people getting off the buses. Great job Eric, and two thumbs way up to everyone else out there working. Thanks to all!
