Eric has stood in the face of pure evil and stood fast. I don't think it hurts the fight to use sarcasm. I for one love that line and I continue to fight this on a daily basis. Steve Trombley is getting a bit comical and I am thankful. Once Planned Parenthood starts using him as their fall guy it further admits motive and intent for this fraud. No one is defending him so that's a good sign..he's guilty. However he represents a company so the company is guilty. That's the way the law works.

Evil can be it's own undoing and we should be pleased about that. Not amused, not insincere but relieved and pleased...you can put me in that category.

As for the fight we are undertaking, Eric has given me strength in dealing with people and how they feel about me. My convictions are my own, others will disagree and I am not in a popularity contest. Neither is Eric. I admire him for standing toe to toe with Mr. Trombley and extending his hand....twice. Mr. Trombley is a coward. Using words and deceptive tactics to interact with this community and it's citizens. He is a talking head and a pretty inefficient one at that. I am glad about that.

This is a new age of awareness and the old retoric from P.P. is not going to cut it. Their short cuts and lies can be exposed and that will be their ultimate undoing...and their arrogance. We are not arrogent....we should however be CONFIDENT and devout but not in a mousy way. In a vigilent, proud and resolute way. I am trying to find a word for tough that is not threatening since we are painted that way....but our opponents need to know we are not weak or timid in our values.

(I know my spelling is not the best....my blogg time is sandwiched between caring for my children)..please excuse:)

<p><strong>Ian Wylie wrote that PP was "founded by a Eugenicist"</strong></p>

At the city council meeting on Tuesday, one speaker mentioned this fact, that the founder of PP, Margaret Sanger, was a eugenicist. What shocked me was the reaction of the PP supporters. They let out an audible gasp of disbelief, as if to say, "how can you even say such a thing". I don't think PP supporters know this aspect of PP.

Let's sign the on-line petition to stop our tax dollars from flowing into PP's coffers. It is found at
http://www.stopplannedparenthoodtaxfunding.com/

Also, below is American Life League's (ALL) www.all.org most recent article about a similar situation in Monrovia, CA where PP had not obtained a special use permit:
Planned Parenthood's Aurora stealth repeats history

“We’ve seen it all before,” said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League, referring to the developing situation in Aurora, Illinois where Planned Parenthood is reported to have constructed a new abortion facility without following the proper procedures to obtain the required special use permit.

“In 2001 Planned Parenthood built a new abortion facility in Monrovia, California and did not follow procedures,” said Sedlak. “Local citizens filed lawsuits against the city and after a two year battle, the Planned Parenthood facility was bulldozed and turned into a parking lot.

“This is what Aurora citizens are demanding and it’s perfectly reasonable,” concluded Sedlak. “The Aurora city council should immediately order Planned Parenthood to vacate the building and begin the process of having it torn down.”

<strong>Net writes: "I didn’t like reading where Eric Scheidler was using sarcasm regarding the shaking of hands with Steve Trombley."</strong>

I have just revised the passage that concerned you, but I want to be clear that I reached out to shake Trombley's hand in all sincerity. We had met the week before, and I hoped we might be able to talk.

And I do honestly feel bad for the guy. He's fumbling this whole thing big time and probably going to lose his job.

As I understand from my reading about PP, they are committed to abortion because it is the ONLY PROFITABLE PART OF THEIR BUSINESS. The other services are "come ons" to increase the profitable part of their business. Remember that they were founded by a Eugenicist (someone who wanted to "improve" the human race by getting rid of "undesireables" - Margaret Sanger). They cite their "clinics" in areas of racial minories in order to kill them off - literally. Remember, killing 250,000+ people every year makes them deadly effective at their sickening, evil goal. YES, it is the Devil's work (no question). YES, there are people there that do not know this. YES, there are people there who can and will turn to the Lord (and many have because of the pull of their conscience - the Holy Spirit doesn't give up on people because they commit terrible sin - THANK GOD!!!!). I do not believe that PP can be "reformed". I believe that it must be destroyed as an organization but God is the one who must do this (and I believe that He will). Fortunately, many workers at PP may see the destruction of their organization and see the hand of God and turn away from what they had been doing. I love to hear the testimonials of the former abortion workers. Even Judas could have received forgiveness had he sincerely asked for it. The Power of the Sacrifice of Jesus is greater than any Sin.

       Praise Be to God!!

Annie, that's an interesting idea. I myself wonder if they are so "committed" to providing all those other services, why they don't simply separate them from doing abortions, and then they wouldn't have anybody protesting them. It seems like a simple and obvious solution, and the fact that they haven't come up with it themselves makes me suspect that they are really far more committed to providing abortion. But I would love to hear what they would say.

Has anyone tried to negotiate with Planned Parenthood? Maybe if they could commit to doing only non-abortion-related services (which they say is 90% of the services they provide), then they could serve the community without destroying human life.

I am against abortion, but it would be hypocritical of me to oppose Planned Parenthood altogether. When I was in college and had no health insurance, Planned Parenthood was the only place I could go for an exam. They treated me professionally, kindly, and for a very reasonable price.

Human life is sacred from conception to natural death, and abortion is evil because it destroys human life. But I do not believe that providing exams, counseling rape victims, and prescribing non-abortifacient birth control should be portrayed as evil. I would not want to live in a society where married women had no control over their reproductive choices (before conception)--the way things were in this country before Planned Parenthood.

I think there's room for compromise from both sides on this issue.

Demolition isn't the answer. That's wasteful. I think the East side of Aurora should have a Visiting Nurses Association facility, too, for easy access.
I think that PP should donate the building to VNA. Taking lemons and pouring lemonade for the Aurora community. How 'bout it?
