Seriously people. What about all those women going into the building for birth control to PREVENT abortion?

Why?,

Most forms of birth control are abortifacients so the premise of your question is inconsistant.

Can contraception cause early abortion?

Mike,

Thanks for posting the link to that incredible but true story from the Colorado House of Representatives.

I have known about Gianna Jessen and her survival from a botched abortion for several years. She is a great witness to the dignity and humanity of every person born or unborn, and a wonderful young woman.

Maybe we could get Gianna to come out to Aurora to speak?

Everyone, please read the story on Ted Harvey's website above!

Maybe you could bring the fourth grade girl with you to the City Council Meeting this Tuesday, Sept. 25. Call the City Clerk ahead of time to sign up. Your daughter could give a 3-minute talk on why PP should not open, based on what she already knows. It could soften hearts.

Paul,

That's an excellent idea!

------

Did anyone hear about the Gianna Jessen story? The Colorado House was planning on celebrating the 90th anniversary of Planned Parenthood in the Rocky Mountains. That weekend before the celebration, God introduced Gianna Jesson to Pro-Life Representative Ted Harvey.

As the story goes Ted Harvey got Gianna Jessen to sing the National Anthem before celebrating the 90th anniversary of Planned Parenthood in the Rocky Mountains. After Gianna sang, Ted Harvey took over the microphone and explained Gianna was handicapped and had cerebral palsy because of an attempt to abort her in her mothers womb. Well you can imagine what happened after that. You can read the story here...

Elizabeth, I was thinking about your story on my return trip from daily mass today and thought of one in a similar vein. For years (well over 16 of them), I suffered from two simultaneous auto-immune disorders (one that has robbed me of my hearing) that just wiped me clear out on a 24-hour daily basis. Of course, I realized suffering was a good thing when you give it up for the Lord and His Church, but my children were very young at the time, and I was praying like a monk for some relief.

One day our youngest (4) was on my lap and she inquired as usual "How are doing today, mom?" I answered with my pat answer, "Oh so-so." And she didn't miss a beat, looked me straight in the eye and said, "Maybe if you'd listen harder to what Jesus is trying to tell you, you'd feel better." ("Therese" turns 17 in a few weeks, and I've never forgotten that ... ever!). Kids are Christ's vehicle indeed!

Elizabeth,

This is a wonderful story of your very wise children.

I hope that you and your children, and husband, will come to the ongoing Prayer Vigil to pray, and join us in any activities there that you are able to.

Children are simply wonderful. They have no built-in prejudice against anyone, let alone a baby, born or unborn. They instinctively seem to understand right from wrong.
