Dawn,

It's really sad that you say that I imply that I had an abortion. I think that is really a statement to start a fight as to cut my character down. I wouldn't go assuming that is definitely for sure. Did you not even read what I said that there are MANY WOMEN in the same scenarios? How many people are really in this world think about it? How do you know for sure I had to sit and watch someone have to make this decision and had the options? You will never know now would you? Be very careful of your statement and the word imply since your statement implies as well.

Now to the rest of everyone. Folks do not chose faith based ways to make a decision period. Just to let you know you will NEVER understand the legal aspects of the case until your actually trained in the field of law & actually have experience. Everyone screams how unfair it is when it is that you do lose. We all have a constitutional right to be free bottom line. Again, everyone here keeps saying pp is out for people money and ecourage abortion. I would LOVE to see proof other than talk and then look at the source.

Lastly, a statement was made about pro-choice people are welcome about going to your churchs to pro-test but won't get far? Well your right just as your in the same boat. Were smarter than that. We settle it in the court rooms not in the courts where people can leave with diginity not pp and make people ashamed. YOU DIDN'T GET FAR! Where did it get you? PP is still going to open. What are you going to do rally everyday outside? HMMMM. Will anyone really be listening? Now I'm hearing libel lawsuit coming? Come on people let's get real here. Again you will have no merit for several reasons.

Let's address that pp did things illegal in its application. I deal with planning & zoning on an everyday basis. If you guys don't know the laws and what people are entitled to do. Then all your going to do is make this organization look bad. THe way pp went about doing it was perfectly legal. People do it not just in medical but in residential, commerical not just here in Illinois but EVERYWHERE! Folks end up losing then end up getting sued for all the damages that have incurred due to the frivilous lawsuit. I wouldn't be surprise but you might get lucky pp doesn't sue organization because they would be in their legal right to do so. Again, I don't expect folks to understand this. This doesn't make them stupid it makes them uneducated about our laws that govern the ordinaces. Law is not an easy subject matter to study unless your taught correctly about procedures. It's many hours of study, nerve racking reseach, and reasoning. What do you think it costs so much to go to law school or a school of similar. It's easy to say how unfair something is when people start talking jibberish to a subject matter that they obviously have no experince in. If you can't get someone to do there homework then expect to look like fools. So if your going to pick a fair fight chose them wisely. Judges do not get paid off not by far. Judges are attorney's too and are held to the same ethical standards.

Jody, good post. And very accurate. It can take decades before one truly heals, and then the scars are, of course, still there. But they a good reminder for hope and for continuing the spread of truth. I've named my daughter too. It's a better way to communicate with her. She's a ringleader up there. I've thusly appointed her!:)

Stacy,
As long as WE live we will support LIFE. Life of the mother AND her unborn baby. We will not "give it up".

It is a selfish world we live in that says abortion is the answer. Abortion exists because the society as a whole is too lazy to take the hard road and truly offer these mothers hope and support. The faith based community tries its' best with the resources it has available to offer real help. But we can't do it all and the society at large would rather toss away human beings because they don't want to be bothered by some other womans' problems. You don't see the pro-choice community starting up pregnacy information centers or maternity homes. I think many who support choice just don't want to have to step up to the plate and help a fellow human being in need. They would rather just exist in their own little bubble of self satisfaction. They have a "leave me alone and i'll leave you alone" attitude.

When the community is in need, whether it be to feed the poor or shelter the homeless, the churches are the first to step up to the plate and volunteer their time and talents. We don't toss people aside, whether born or unborn.

And if pro-choicers want to rally outside my church - well, then more power to 'em. I doubt they'd be able to muster enough participants to make a difference. You see, because in the end many people who support abortion know in the very core of their being that killing babies is wrong and wouldn't be very proud about standing up in the street to support the continued slaughter of human beings.

In the end, pro-abortion comes down to the death of a person - a real live human being. How any one can be proud of that?

You also don't state it in your post but you imply that you yourself had an abortion. If this is true, then do you not ever imagine what your son or daughter might be like today? Do you not every feel pain over your choice? Do you ever wish someone would have taken your hand and offered you life and assistance for your baby? I just feel that women deserve better than death for their baby.

Many of the prayers being offered outside the clinic at this very moment have been offered up for you Stacy - for you and other women who have been touched by abortion. May God bless you.

Hi Stacy and other PP supporters:
I suspect most pro-lifers would welcome the opportunity to dialog with PP supporters. There does however seem to be a lot of contempt and anger directed at pro-lifers--not exactly fertile ground for rational discussion. Even PP's CEO remarked tongue in cheek early on in the vigil that he wished we had plenty of water because it was hot outside, and then on top of that he proceeded to publish the slanderous full page ads claiming we were violent etc.
I do not claim we are perfect, in fact most of us are keenly aware of our weaknesses and failings. But violent and judgemental are hard ones to pin on us. We are your peaceable neighbors and your co-workers, and certainly not your judges.

Stacy,
If I were to sit down and talk with them the first question I would ask is how in the world could you go to the Supreme Court and fight for the right to partial birth abortion.

The procedure is barbaric and this is what they stand for. May God help us all if this type of thing ever stands in the eyes of reasonable people.

Erin,

I appreciate your comments very much. However, I would like to address some of the comments yourself and others have written.

Planned parenthood is not what people say it is in terms of services. They do provide options and offer services of council. They do offer options of abortion, adoption, & medical. It may not be in a spiritual based because this is not a religious organization. They do not try to make anyone try to opt about having an abortion what so ever. I do know of one abortion clinic that does not offer council, adoption options, etc. Just straight up abortion procedures. So yes, those who protest outside its door everyday & it's in aurora. Yes, folks like you have a valid point to be there. Now a service comes along offering those things coming to aurora. You’re dead wrong. Let them set the example to others out in the town of aurora that do practice like that how wrong they are. Infact, it would run those doctors straight out of business. Those doctors who strictly do that are a business. I truly believe the old fashion thinking of the 50’s 60’s etc. The stats will go down as true education is administered and diversity is introduced.

I know many people of all ages who use pp services. I will tell you people's ages range from about 35 years on down. People I have talk to who use its services in this area are being responsible. These are educated people due to planned parenthoods measures. They don't make you feel uncomfortable but don't promote the party style life and run off and have a 100 sex partners either. They will inform you it's unhealthy and tell you the risks. If you want graphic detail trust me I'm sure they won't have a problem giving it to them. I give these young folks credit for going somewhere including those that can't talk to there own parents. In fear of old belief system some parents were raised with. Yes, children of those parents still exist. Birth control, sex, abortion are never easy topics for anyone to talk about. It’s more difficult for younger folks than older. Wouldn’t it be better for the education to travel a little farther for services? It only helps the poverty or low-income residents be able to connect in a positive light. Not for hook ups, drugs, partying, or anything like that.

Next, I want to point out religious based services have many flaws to. They are absolutely not perfect in it's counseling services or offering services either. If you don't know why don't you ask someone who was given bad advice? People walk out of planned parenthoods that have tried. Don't kid yourself not everyone that goes to a pp just thinks abortion is the answer. Some have babies by getting the right counseling because of pp. Some decide to go with abortion because it's been a more informed decision, and they feel they can live with that decision for the rest of their life. Others choose to opt for adoption again they have to live with the decision for the rest of their life. There is always a risk with all three! The system is flawed but making the best choice for one's self has to be an informed one. If one does not have a religious bone in there body they choose that life. They don't have an interest involving religion as part of the informed decision it's a choice. Women have to be able to live with themselves and sleep at night. How can one sleep at night with protesters? How can one sleep at night fearing of people being outside pp's and being embarrassed. When they might be going in just to take care of simple responsibility. That may include just picking up birth control. Don't you think irresponsibility can come in different forms from organizations like yours?

Next, I have started to review some of the things that claims pp has violated laws etc. I will tell you I have a lot of dealings with contractors and permits & planning commissions quiet a bit. I'm checking into a few things before I make a final judgment if pp violated anything. I do have one question raised but have to wait till Monday to check on it. It very well could be an error on the cities part not pp or the contractor. When I get all the fact's I will give you my opinion. The courts are well messed up too as it is not equal justice as people like to say. I can honestly tell you it is from experience. Then again if anything went wrong on any paperwork it could be religious based due to the contractor's belief. PP may not be aware of it people do things to sabotage construction projects everyday.

What is more scary is organizations that camp out of pp's who don't have abortion clinic's. YES! Naperville pp has had it done. To scare younger people about the thought of just using birth control. Unless this organization was responsible or some party from here was doing it's homework too. Yet, scaring those by approaching people just wanting to talk and making them feel uncomfortable. If it's not then it wasn't this organization this is not a direct accusation that it was this organization. If it was can we expect the truth? Several organizations like this can lie and play innocent too. Can you understand the fear? Isn't there enough pressure of people who really force their belief's of pro-life? How would it make you feel if we protested choice across the street from your churches? Came up on your church's property to try to talk to you about pro-choice in a pressure way with graphic pictures of the consequences of people not being able to live with the right choice? You would feel uncomfortable? Deep down inside if it was done day after day. Would you wonder if a simple choice of your belief would end you as a target of something worse? Again, I would watch were the rocks are being thrown. Is this organization going to protest if pp does get a chance to open?

I have solid facts and experiences. Everyone can sit here and speculate what my involvement was or who it may be. Does it really matter at the end of YOUR day? Absolutely not what should matter is what matters to myself . The same issues and scenario's exist among many women. If you have a counseling service that should be an option to offer pp. That is what they are about options, options, and options. They do have a religious option out source but no two religious organizations are the same. Instead of protesting maybe you should working with them. They are not moneymakers not by far. It comes down to a choice you can live with at the end of the day and having to deal with it for the rest of your life. Those choices should be private without interference or prejudice.

With that said I would suggest that you invite pp to sit down and have a conversation with them and offer your help if you think something is wrong. Other than they should not be there. Any way this goes they are going to show up. You can either be together as brothers and sisters in christ and be supportive of others and be fair. Or those of pro-choice will judge you as you are judging them for being there to help others in time of need.

I was at the Vigil site on Thursday after the dinner and I must apologize for being one of those talking. I did try to get one of the men I was talking to to keep his voice down but he was very upset and kept getting louder. I was unable to get farther down the sidewalk to pray because of my wheelchair and the narrowness of the area since the fence was put in. I wanted to pray, I was in a prayerful state of mind but was unable to do so. Again, my apologies ~ Diane

Stacy,

I didn't regret my abortions for a long, long time. You may, or may not ever regret. They are our children, and they had no choice. Just know that there's healing, through groups like Rachel's Vineyard.

For my children, who I've named, who I've cried for, who my heart broke open for, finally, finally. The truth will set us free. God's peace to you.

We’re praying for you too, though we can’t be there in person!

I lost my first two children to abortion. Planned Parenthood offered me no other options. A woman in a crisis pregnancy is not in her right mind and Planned Parenthood takes advantage of this!

We command you to the foot of the cross Planned Parenthood!
