The lead story during the Roe Conn Show from 2-7 was about protesters busing down to Louisiana to support Civil Rights. I am not knocking Civil Rights, but when it isn't even mentioned that there is a Federal Hearing for Planned Parenthood vs. City of Aurora at the Dirksen Federal Building in Chicago tomorrow, there is a bit of a priority issue. I called Roe Conn's show to voice my confusion with the local and pertinent content left out. I said, "Why is the fact that there is a Federal Hearing on Planned Parenthood overlooked?" The call screener replied, "What about it." I stated, "Planned Parenthood is trying to open one of the nations largest abortion clinics in the nation." His reply, "It's just a building, it's not that big and abortion isn't illegal. It isn't a story." I retorted, "If it was a nuclear plant, an oil refinery, or a strip club opening in Winnetka, I bet you would cover it. Not to mention, it has received National coverage." "What's your point?" was the response. This is the attitude of WLS AM 890????? They seem to be ducking the issue during the afternoon, so I will try the morning shows tomorrow.
