What You Can Do To Fight Planned Parenthood
There is much that you can do to fight Planned Parenthood. First, sign up in the box on the right to receive news, updates and urgent action alerts. Then see the list below for actions you can take to prevent Planned Parenthood from operating in our community.
Since Planned Parenthood opened October 2, 2007 Families Against Planned Parenthood has maintained a continuous pro-life presence at the site (map) every hour that it's open.
Rain or shine, day or night, hot or cold, we will be there praying that Planned Parenthood shuts down once and for all. Please joins us, and sign up for an hour of prayer.
Through marches, pickets, protests, rallies and meetings, you can help inform our community about the true threat that Planned Parnethood poses to our families, and encourage our elected officials to do all they can to protect us.
- Tuesday, Jan 13, 2009: Patricia Bainbridge "What Planned Parenthood Brings to a Community" Talk—7:00 p.m.
- Director of the Respect Life Office for the Diocese of Rockford, Patricia Pitkus Bainbridge, is presenting her talk "What Planned Parenthood Brings to a Community."
- From her current position at the Respect Life Office as well as her work with Life Decisions International and Human Life Alliance, Patricia has developed an expert understanding of Planned Parenthood and the moral degradation they bring to communities they enter.
- This talk is limited to adult audiences ONLY since Patricia will be presenting Planned Parenthood's sex education and other materials in detail.
- While this information is inappropriate for children, it is essential for adults so that they can be equipped to protect their children and the children of their community.
- This talk is perfect for those unfamiliar with the depravity of Planned Parenthood's promotional, youth outreach and educational materials. If you have a friend who thinks Planned Parenthood is good for the community, they need to hear this talk!
The talk will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13 in Connor Hall at Holy Angels Church (map) at the corner of Lancaster Avenue and Hardin Avenue. A reception will follow the presentation.
- Saturday, Jan 17, 2009: Monthly Protest at Planned Parenthood—9 to 10:30 a.m.
- Come join the protest at Planned Parenthood, 3051 E. New York Street (map). Picket signs will be provided. These monthly protests punctuate the ongoing Life Support effort, offering prayer and assistance for Planned Parenthood clients every hour the facility is open.
- Thursday, Jan 22, 2009: Naperville Christians for Life Interdenominational Prayer Service—7:30 p.m.
- "You Did For Me" is the theme of the annual Interdenominational Prayer Service for Life sponsored by Naperville Christians for Life. All Saints Catholic Academy, 1155 Aurora Avenue in Naperville (map) will host this year’s service on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 7:30 p.m.
- Representatives from many Naperville Christian Churches will participate. You are invited to join in prayer and song as we remember the victims of abortion over the past 36 years and pray for an end to this tragedy. “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
- The Academy is on the North side of Aurora Avenue. Park near and use entrance #1.
Let your family and friends know about our prayer witness and about how dangerous Planned Parenthood is. Sign up for e-mail alerts (see the box at the top of this page on the right side), and forward them to your contacts. Print out the flyers available on the Tools page and pass them out at church or in the neighborhood.
Residents of Illinois' Fox Valley can also put up a pro-life yard sign, reading "Planned Parenthood BAD for Aurora" or "Planned Parenthood BAD for Fox Vally". For details, send an e-mail with your name, address and telephone number, and our Sign Captains will get in touch.
Contact your children's principal, the local school board, and the superintendent of your school district and tell them not to let Planned Parenthood into the school, under any circumstance or under any cover.
